Welcome all the students in RIT for better engineering education in various selected branches. The institute has emerged as one of the best engineering education offering institute. The department of Sciences and Humanities is coordinating all the activities of first year engineering including basic science and fundamental engineering courses with open electives and foreign languages like German and Japanese. The department has a team of highly qualified, experienced and research oriented faculties. The department plays a major role in equipping first year B. Tech. students to take up their core engineering program education. The department takes efforts in concretizing student’s fundamentals so that he/she could be confident to adopt Engineering in selected branch from the next academic year. We are not only providing quality education but also mentoring the students to harness their inner capabilities with ethical and moral values. The department has state-of-the-art laboratories. Engineering Graphics through AutoCAD, Engineering Exploration and Design Project and Open Elective courses are some of academic features of first year engineering in RIT. Our faculties are involved in research projects independently, consistently attending seminars, national and international conferences, symposia and workshops. Special care is taken of first year students by providing faculty mentors to help them to adapt engineering academic environment. We at RIT conducting Student Induction Program (SIP) every year as per the guidelines of AICTE to orient and motivate the students for successful engineering education and to develop their better career.
