We are delighted to inform you that, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Islampur is organizing a one-week online STTP on “Emerging Optimization Techniques for Engineering Applications” from September 27 – October 01, 2021 under RIT – CTL.

Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT) is a leading Technical Autonomous Institute based in the region of Western Maharashtra. The institute is offering 07 U.G., 11 P.G. programs, and 03 Ph.D. programs. RIT is recognized by A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi, and is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. All UG programs and eligible PG programs have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) New Delhi and Accredited ‘A’  grade by NAAC. The institute ranked 75th in India and 7th in Maharashtra state by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

Objectives of STTP:

Ø  To enable the participants to formulate an optimization problem for various engineering applications.

Ø  To empower the  participants with the knowledge, techniques emerging optimization techniques to solve multiobjective problems.

Ø  To implement engineering optimization problems using MATLAB.

Ø  To publish research articles in refereed journals and conferences.

Outcomes of STTP:

At the end of this STTP, faculties and researchers will be able to

Ø  Understand the importance of optimization, apply concepts of mathematics to formulate an optimization problem, analyze and appreciate a variety of performance measures for various optimization problems.

Ø  Apply optimization techniques in solving real-world engineering problems and promote research interest in optimization techniques. It will help faculties and researchers to publish research papers in refereed journals and international conferences.
