Outcomes of the site visit:-

Information in Brief:  The third year students of RIT (Diploma) studied the pre-stress technique for manufacturing of Hume pipe.  The valuable information was given by plant incharge Mr. Kiran Patil. Information in Brief:  Civil students of RIT Diploma were visited to a construction site of Ninad Construction at Sangli. This visit was beneficial for students to understand the various site activities like erection and laying the columns and ground beam, filling of ground beam. This visit was also Beneficial for establishing a Memoranda of Understanding with Ninad Constructions.

Place- Water Treatment Plant, Islampur.

Date: 18th August,2016

Time: 10.30 pm to 03.30 pm.

Topic to be covered:  Procedure of water treatment, various component parts of WTP, Sand filters.

Outcomes of the site visit:-

1.      Understood how raw water is to be treated.

2.      Understood in detail the rapid sand filter process.

Information in Brief:  T.Y. civil students of RIT (Diploma) were visited to Water treatment plant, Islampur. The plant incharge and one supporting staff were explained the process of treatment of water to improve quality of water. Groups of five students were formed to safety point of view. At the end student gave vote of thanks to involved staff.

They started their site visit with observing the Manufacturing process, Raw material, Size of aggregate and their separation.  The valuable information was given by plant incharge Mr. Anil Sagare. Students were cleared their doubts by asking questions. At last Students gave vote of thanks.

Topic to be covered:  Manufacturing of Ready mix concrete, Component parts of RMC Plant.

2.      Increase knowledge about various materials required to manufacturing the ready mix concrete.

Information in Brief:  After visiting Aggregate Crushing plant second year students were visited Ready mix plant on same day. Total students were distributed in three groups. Plant incharge Mr. I.V.Patil gives the valuable practical information about plant. Other staff was also co-operative, as they were give response to our students. Students were studied Manufacturing process of concrete, Raw materials, various machinery, batching and mixing process.  At last Students gave vote of thanks involved staff.

At first Layout of Hot mix Plant was described by plant incharge Mr. V.B.Patil. Other staff was also co-operative. Students were studied Manufacturing process of Hot mix bitumen, Raw materials, various machinery, Control units, mixing process.  At last Students gave vote of thanks involved staff.

Three Day’s Training Program organized for Diploma Students “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp”
Date 6th Feb. to 8th Feb. 2017

As to become a developed country, it is essential to produce best entrepreneurs and this goal can be fulfill by giving best training to our young mind at the starting age of their learning days. So to get best from our young students, we, Diploma wing,are organized three days “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” in our campus from 6th Feb. to 8th Feb. 2017. This program was a joint venture of R.I.T Rajaramnagar and National Young Entrepreneur’s Development Center, Pune.

Entrepreneurship Development is one of the key elements for promotion of micro and small enterprises, particularly, the first generation entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship, and resultant creation of employment and wealth, is a major mean for inclusive development. Hence, entrepreneurship development has been one of the priorities in countries, the world over.

Objective of Program:

  •  To identify and train the potential entrepreneurs in the region;
  •  To impart basic managerial knowledge and understanding;
  •  To provide post-training assistance;
  •  To develop and strengthen entrepreneurial quality and motivation;
  •  To analyze the environmental issues related to the proposed project;
  •  To help in selecting the right type of project and products;
  •  To formulate the effective and profitable project;
  •  To enhance industrial development.
  •  To acquire necessary managerial skills required to run the industrial unit.
  •  To acquaint and appreciate the required social responsibility/ Entrepreneurial discipline.

Inaugural Session:

On 6th Feb. 2017, first day of the workshop, the proceedings began with inauguration function, with the esteemed presence of Director Madam Dr. Mrs. S. S. Kulkarni, Dean (Diploma), Dr. H.S.Jadhav, C.I.I.E.D. Head Mr. M. V. Pisal Resource person Prof. Nitin Kale and Prof. Anil Honrao along with coordinators Mr. A. B. Hangande and Mr. P. A. Desai. 

The introductory speech was delivered by Mr. M. V. Pisal about the schedule and features of the Program. Then Director Madam Dr. Mrs. S. S. Kulkarni of R.I.T. had an interaction with Diploma students about the Entrepreneurship Development. Resource Person Prof. Anil Honrao told about the workshop. This Inaugural session was handled by Mr. A. B.Hangande.

First Day – 6th Feb. 2017.

          Day one sessions was conducted by Prof. Nitin Kale. He delivered following information to Diploma Students- about small business planning, market survey, project report preparation, basic startup problem, appraising small business opportunities, project appraisal techniques, assessing market opportunities and competition, financial feasibility analysis.

Second Day – 7th Feb. 2017.

         Day two session Prof. Anil Honrao had interaction with diploma students on following points - small business management skills, fundamentals of small business management, financial management including costing and accounting, raising funds, marketing management, taxation in India, legal business structure, sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation,    cooperative, corporation, limited liability company.

Third Day – 8th Feb. 2017.

Day three sessions was conducted by a very young Entrepreneur Mr. Venkatesh Yadav, who is a third year B.Tech. Students and owner of ‘Curonix’ I.O.T. company at the age of 20 along with Prof. Nitin Kale and Prof. Anil Honrao. Following were the points - regulatory requirements of business, statutory compliances, clearance & approval, banking process, DIC/banker involvement.

                        The programmed methodology consists of classroom lectures by various resource persons, E-learning classes and online examination, motivational video & games.  This program is providing the opportunity to the youth for optioning Entrepreneurship as the best career option. They will be able to avail the benefit of various government sponsor scheme. It will lead the Diploma students to a better future and a new horizon is open to them. At the end of this training program Diploma students are aware of the technical terms and what it gets to become an Entrepreneur. We are very thankful of National Young Entrepreneur’s Development Center, Pune to show the interest in conducting such an event.

“Hands on Training on Total Station”

Date- 15th and 16th December 2016

The department of Civil Engineering (Diploma Wing) organized a two days workshop on surveying equipment    Total Station as “Hands on training on Total Station” on 15thand 16thDecember 2016. This workshop provided the opportunity to the Faculty and Industrial persons to use Total Station. A total station is an electronic instrument used in modern surveying and building construction. The total station is an electronic theodolite (transit) integrated with an electronic distance meter (EDM) to read slope distances from the instrument to a particular point.
