Engineering Physics

There is symbiotic relation between Physics & Engineering. Broadly speaking, Engineering is mainly Applied Physics. The present day technological developments have been the result of joint efforts of physicists & engineers. A proper study of Physics is therefore indispensable for engineering students to excel in their fields. The physicist discovers scientific principles and invents devices to describe & explain them. The technician applies and magnifies these devices for human convenience and comfort.
The department of Sciences and Humanities offers Engineering Physics Theory and Lab course for F. Y. B. Tech students.  The theory course deals with the advanced areas in Physics like Fiber Optics, LASER, Mechanics, Semiconductors, Quantum Physics, and Architectural Acoustics etc.; whereas lab course is designed in order to understand the actual fundamentals, students learn during theory, in practice.

Language Laboratory

The Department has a modern Language Laboratory with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment to aid in imparting language skills. The Laboratory is effectively utilized by students and faculty members for various self-enhancement and soft skill development activities. Laboratory proves beneficial for those students who are poor in use of English language. Students from rural areas who are generally weak in English can have sufficient ear training in the language lab. It aims at confidence-building among students for interactions and presentations in English. To learn Basic English language skills, communication skills and to practice aptitude series our students use various online resources.
Language laboratory has been developed by the college to facilitate sharpening of communication skills in English outside the classroom. Students from rural areas who are generally weak in English can have sufficient ear training in the language lab. The English language laboratory focuses on enhancing students' communication skills. The lab provides full-fledged computer-assisted language learning, the Interactive, multimedia Labs enable students to equip themselves with an array of much-needed skills viz. public speaking, group discussion, debate and paper presentation etc.

The main objectives of the Language Laboratory are:

  1. To equip the students with good communication skills.
  2. To emphasize the need of English in the technical world.
  3. To prepare them for interviews and future job environments.
  4. To train the students in the art of conversation and discussion.
