Researcher from Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar, Prof. Supriya Sawant and her research associates from industry today announces launching of, anti-pathogen mask, “ Weefab- 3S”. The masks are reusable, washable and most importantly having pathogen destroying capacity. The spread of diseases causing due microbial can be effectively slower down by use of this mask. These masks are available in two sizes for adults and for children so that it can be comfortably used.

 The current horrifying spread of Covid pandemic is a biggest challenge in front of whole world. There is no any proven treatment or vaccine available till date. The only option remains in human hand is to keep the virus away. One of the ways to keep pathogen away is to use anti pathogen mask. The technology patent is filed and product is ready for technology transfer. The management of the institute is always supportive and shows positive spirit for new and innovative things. 

Dr. Sushma Kulkani said, ‘the best practices references for such products are emerging out in the world , the work of RIT will found concrete and impressive in order to foster the immediate need of time”.
