Department of Information Technology, RIT Rajaramnagar organized 2nd international conference on Advancement in Technology (ICONAT 2023) on 24th, 25th & 26th Jan 2023. The conference was technically co-sponsored by IEEE Bombay Section. 

For the conference, we had Chief Guest and Guest of Honour for the conference were Dr. Suman Kundu Director, BITS Pilani, Goa and Dr. Sri Niwas Singh Director IIITM, Gwalior respectively.

For this conference, nearly 1037 papers were received for this conference and 294 papers were accepted and presented in both physical and online modes from over 50 countries like Australia, South America, Brazil, and Singapore. A total of 45 session chairs graced their presence and performed effective evaluations while 25 session coordinators managed the offline & online sessions. Research papers accepted and presented at the conference are submitted to IEEE Xplore and will be included in the IEEE Xplore digital library. 

The conference was coordinated by Prof. Mohsin N. Mulla under the valuable guidance of  Head of Department Dr. Amol C. Adamuthe, Dean Academics Dr. S. K. Patil, and Director of the institute Dr. Mrs. Sushma Kulkarni. Dr. R. D. Sawant Principle & Secretary Kasegaon Education Society congratulated the department for its huge success.

Department of Information Technology, RIT, Rajaramnagar had organized an international conference on Advancement in Technology (ICONAT 2022) on 22nd and 23rd Jan 2022. The conference was technically co-sponsored by IEEE Bombay Section.

      For the conference, we had Hon. Dr. Gopal Mugeraya Director NIT, Goa. As Guest of Honour and Dr. VievekKamat Director DTE, Government of Goa as our Chief Guest.

Keeping the safety and well-being of the participants as the top priority, ICONAT 2022, which was originally planned to be held in Goa, India was converted into a virtual conference.

       The research areas covered in this conference included Machine Learning, Cloud and Data Analytics, Computer Architecture & Systems, Aerospace Technology, Antenna & Microwave, Biomedical Engineering, Circuits, and Systems, Devices, Materials & Processing, Marine and Offshore Engineering, Multimedia Engineering, Photonics, Power &Energy Etc.

     For this conference,1046 research papers from 23 different countries like China, Japan, Indonesia, Myanmar, Iran, Iraq, Bangladesh, Srilanka,including India,etc were received out of which only 327 papers were accepted and presented in virtual mode.Total 40 paper presentation sessions were held, it was a privilege to have 40 experts as the session chairs with us on this virtual platform.

       Research papers accepted and presented at the conference are submitted to IEEE Xplore and will be included in the IEEE Xplore digital library.The conference also had two Keynote sessions by Dr. Kashif Nisar,Faculty of Computing and Informatics University Malaysia Sabah, and Dr. Hussain Mahdi from Diyala University, Iraq.

The conference was coordinated by Prof. Mohsin N. Mulla & Dr. Amol C. Adamuthe under the valuable guidance of Head of Department Dr, Sandip A. Thorat, Dean Academics Dr. S. K. Students Activities Under Emerging Leaders in Information Technology Engineering (ELITE)

Infostav 5.0

  • An STTP on “Advanced ML and Block Chain technology” under lead college scheme, Shivaji University, Kolhapur on 20-21,27-28 March and 3rd April, 2021.
  • This STTP is designed to provide knowledge to students about the machine learning technology. It provides a basis for understanding the features and implementation of machine learning for the aspirants who want career in the field of Data science and Artificial Intelligence. This program comprises useful contents of Block chain technology such block chain basics, managing block chain transactions, Bit coin core test net, Block chain data and private block chains as well.

  • The Infotsav 4.0 contains a 1-day Workshop on “Advanced Machine Learning” on 2nd March, 2020.
  • As per the need of IT Industries, the workshop comprises useful contents of machine learning such as Python, Simple linear regression, Apriori, CNN, ANN, RNN which are useful to carry out problem statements in Mini-projects and Mega-projects at UG level.

Students Activities Under Computer Society Of India (CSI)

Year:2019-20

  • Department of Information Technology conducted Programming Challenge series on C language and Data structures using C++ under CSI Chapter in association with IEEE student chapter.
  • Department of Information Technology conducted 2 Days online training program on “ Introduction to Python Programming” under CSI , Student Chapter,RIT, in association with RIT-Center for Teaching and Learning (RIT-CTL) on 15th and 16th May 2020.

Year:2018-19

  • ELITE (Student Association of CSIT) in association with CSI, Student Chapter ,RIT and lead college activity of Shivaji University, Kolhapur, the department of Information Technology has organized two days technical event “Infotsav 3.0” on 7th and 8th September 2018. Students of various engineering colleges from Sangli, Satara, and Kolhapur district have participated in this event.

Under Infotsav3.0, the workshop on “Data Structures using Python” was conducted on 1-2 and 7 September, 2018 by Mr. Saurabh Thoke, Senior Software Engineer, INCEDO Pvt. Ltd., Pune. The technical and non-technical events like SQL Master, Code-Blaster, App-A-Thon, Campus to Corporate, Thrill of the Hunt was conducted on 8th September 2018.

  • Department of Information Technology also has conducted one day workshop on “Agile Scrum Master and Version Control System” on 2nd Feb 2019 (Saturday) for TY and Final Year B. Tech. under CSI Student Chapter, RIT.

Year:2017-18  

  • Department of Information Technology department, in association with CSI Student Chapter, RIT and lead college activity of Shivaji University, Kolhapur, organized two days technical event “Infotsav 2018” on 16th and 17th Feb 2018. 300 students of various engineering colleges from Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur district have participated in this event.In Infotsav 2018, the workshop on “Responsive Web Designing using HTML5,CSS,Bootstrap and Jquery” was conducted on 16th Feb 2018 by Mr. Suhit Kalubarme from FIGmd, Private Ltd. Pune. The technical and non-technical events like SQL Master, Code-Hunt, Infinite Loop ,Campus to Corporate, Mini Militia and Carom are conducted on 17th Feb 2018.
  • Department of Information Technology has conducted “C programming Contest 2018” for First year students under CSI Student Chapter, RIT.
  • Department of Information Technology organized two days workshop on “Internet of Thingson 18th and 19th Feb for students of different engineering colleges under CSI Student Chapter, RIT.

App-A-Thon 3.0

Department of Information Technology, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar had organized State Level Android App Development competition and exhibition "App-A-Thon 3.0" on Saturday, 14th  September 2019 under Lead College Scheme, Shivaji University and UNNAT in Association with Aakash Center, RIT. The Guest for this event was Mr. Santosh Patange (Alumni, 2015), Co-founder of App Vishwa Pvt. Ltd. Islampur and Mr. Sagar Pawar(Alumni, 2015), Software Developer, TIAA, Pune. Also they were external judges for the competition. This event consists of two parts: Android app development competition and exhibition. The objective of this event was to motivate students to solve social problems using mobile app development technologies. The different themes were provided to the students such as: environmental, education, social, games, tools etc. The students from KIT(Kolhapur), Walchand College of Engg. (Sangli), T.K.I.E.T(Warananagar), VPKBIET, Baramati, K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering- Vidyavihar, Dnyanshree Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sajjangad- Satara, Government College of Engg.(Karad) were participated in the competition and exhibition.  The event was graced by Dr. Mrs. S. S. Kulkarni (Director, RIT), Dr. A. C. Adamuthe (HOD,IT), Mr. Ravindra J. Mandale (Faculty advisor, RIT Android Club) and faculties of  CSIT department and students of RIT.

The objective of this event was to motivate students to solve social problems using mobile app development technologies. The different themes were provided to the students such as environmental, education, social, games, tools etc. The student from Walchand College of Engg.(Sangli), Annasaheb Dange College of Engg.(Ashta), KBP CLG of engg satara, SGGS CLG of engg Nanded, Atharva college of engineering, Thane, Datta meghe college of engg, Kalyan, RIT Rajaramnagar were participated in the competition.  The event was graced by Dr. A. C. Adamuthe (HOD, IT), Mr. D.T. Mane (Faculty advisor, Infotsav 3.0) and faculties of IT department and students of RIT.  The following three prizes were given as: i) 3000/- ii) 2000/- iii) 1000/- with winner certificates.

Mandale (Faculty advisor, RIT Android Club) and faculties of  IT department and students of RIT.  The following three prizes were given as: i) 3000/- ii) 2000/-  iii) 1000/- . Department of Computer Engineering and Information Technology of Kasegaon Education Society, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar ,has conducted One week AICTE-ISTE sponsored Induction / Refresher Programme on “Enhancing Technical Skills in IT Technologies” from 21- 26 May 2018. This refresher course includes the sessions on PHP, Laravel-open-source PHP web application framework is the most popular framework used in IT Industries., Angular JS2-most popular JavaScript framework used for front end web development, IoT -network of physical objects or "things" embedded with electronics, software, sensors and network connectivity,along with Bloch Chain Technology-shared ledger for recordingthe history of transactions – that‘cannot be altered or deleted’, Hadoop- Framework for handling bigdata, Cloud and Machine learning. The experts form Industries and Academics were the resource persons for the workshop. The main aim of this refresher course is to provide hands on experience, project based learning experience of above technology and to enhance the pedagogical skill of faculties for teaching these courses. Department of Information Technology had organized 5 days’ ISTE approved self funded STTP on “Angular JS-5” from 15th - 19th Aug. 2018. AngularJS is a JavaScript-based open-source front end web application framework mainly used to address many of the challenges encountered in developing single-page applications. Angular combines declarative templates, dependency injection, end to end tooling, and integrated best practices to solve development challenges. Department of Information Technology had organized two week self- funded ISTE Approved STTP on “SQL & NoSQL” during 28 Nov to 11 Dec 2018. The Main objective behind to organize this workshop is

  • To build technical competency in the domain of relational and non-relational database to meet the desired needs of current IT industry.
  • To provide hands on experience of relational database with MySQL
  • To provide hands on experience of NoSQL database MongoDB and its usage at application level.
