All degree schemes offered are modular and structured to allow a gradual development of knowledge and skills. During the first two years of B. Tech. Programme, students follow a syllabus of core engineering modules, which are common to all branches of engineering, plus some modules that are specific to the degree scheme. The courses also have a wide practical element based on the lecture modules, including laboratory work, team projects and industrial tours and seminars.
In addition, every student carries out a professional project in their final years. The professional project gives students a chance to apply their engineering skills to a real engineering problem. Many professional projects are industrially driven or linked, giving students direct exposure to industry as part of their studies. There is also a strong tutorial system, which provides students with a point of contact with a member of staff who can advise on welfare issues as well.

The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program started in the year 1999. The course is designed to award four year B. Tech degree. The B.Tech. Programme is innovatively designed to cater to the global demands and offers a balanced coverage of hardware and software systems. The course is an outcome based structured design to help students to achieve the goal. The department is committed to offer a set of open electives and program elective so that students can plan their academic program in advance. We equip the students with Professional Skill sets like corporate etiquettes, decision making, team skills, leadership and communication skills as a credit course to meet industry requirements. The course was accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). About 20% to 25% of the students pursue higher studies after their graduation, mostly in U.S with scholarship. The renowned market based organizations like Wipro, TCS, Persistent Systems, Zensar Technology, Infosys, Nihilent Corp., Geometric Software’s, etc. have recruited our students through campus interviews. The Dept. has signed MOU with Wipro, Infosys, and Oracle as a step of mutual benefit. The department has a strong R & D culture and has funded projects and consultancy from In-house.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering has started this PG Program in the year 2011. In the current scenario of various computing devices, the importance of efficient computing with resource optimization is becoming more and more relevant. The need for advancements in architecture and integrating computer hardware, software, algorithms, data management, simulation etc is being increasingly felt. It is in this context this program assumes relevance.
The curriculum is aimed to give theoretical and hands on in the areas of Advances in Algorithms, Advances in DBMS like distributed database systems, High performance computing, GPGPU computing, and Advances in Computer Networks in the first two semesters and a host of open and institute elective subjects like Image Processing, Advanced Software Engg., Advance Networks, Image processing, Web Application development etc. Students have opportunity to work in research areas like Nature inspired algorithms in Scheduling & Optimization, High Performance Computing, GPGPU computing, Ad-hoc Network, Advanced Database Management Systems, Cloud Computing Multimedia Security, Data mining and Artificial Intelligence as the department has identified these some research areas.
The students will get an opportunity to participate in projects related to, but not limited to Natural Language processing, Data Mining and Business Intelligence, Image processing, Scheduling & Optimization, High performance computing.
