The
year 2010-11 has proved to be a milestone for the activity
of Training and Placement at Rajarambapu Institute
of Technology. The theme of "Each One Can Excel" was
considered as the top priority.
Training
in Soft Skills consisting of preparation for Group
Discussions, Personal Interviews and Resume Writing was organized
under the auspice of Global Talent Track, Pune as soon as
the semester exams were over in the first week of December2010.The
number of students who benefited from the training was 550.
Similarly
a training program on Aptitude comprising of Verbal
Ability, Quantitative Ability and Analytical Ability was also
organized with a view to enable the students to prepare themselves
for the campus interviews. This training was organized with
the support from Advanced Career Center, Pune and over 300
students could participate in the program. This training program
was also interfaced with Conceptual Learning Program
to strengthen the knowledge about branch specific Technical
Concepts essential for Technical Aptitude.
Besides
this the Institute also organized Soft Skills and Aptitude
training for 15 colleges under the lead college training program
from Shivaji University Kolhapur in the month of February/March
2011.The provision was made for 3000 students to participate
in the training program, conducted by Centum Learning and
SEED InfoTech Limited, New Delhi.
A
small batch of Basic German Course was also conducted
for the students interested in learning foreign languages.
The endeavor will help the students to reinforce their Resumes
/ Curriculum Vitae, as some companies like Faurecia a car
interior design company from Pune and engaged into projects
for European Car Manufacturers' prefer the candidates inducted
to Basic German or French.
As
we say consequences of learning are important to the process
of learning, the number of students selected at the various
campus selection processes held from Jan 2011 to March 2011
grew by twofold as compared to the same period in the previous
year.
This
year we had esteem companies like Tata Consultancy Services,
Torrent Power Limited, Faurecia Limited, Transparent Group
of Companies and Mubea Suspensions Limited and Mphasis Limited
visiting for the first time to RIT.
The
Companies, Bharat Forge Limited, TATA Manufacturing Solutions
Limited, Tech Mahindra, KPIT Cummins, Zensar Limited, L&T
InfoTech, Patni Computer Systems Limited, HSBC Limited, IVRCL
Infrastructures & Projects Limited, Adwitya Projects, KEC
International, Mind Tree Limited, Thyssen Krupp , Apollo Tyres
Limited, Essar Steel, Bajaj Allianze, HDFC and Shirke Group
are prominent where our students found suitable placements.
The number of placement is expected to cross 300 by the end
of June 2011.
The
road map to success is to have few rules-core values, strategic
plan along with priorities, cherish a brand promise, engage
into mockup sessions and act in a way consistent to these
values, plans, priorities, promise and mockup sessions.
