The field of computer science & engineering has already emerged as a bastion of Indians. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering has done commendable progress in a short span of six years. some of the students are pursuing their higher studies in computer science at prestigious places like Texas University & Toronto University. So far it has produced 5 batches of graduates in computer Engg. And many of them are successfully serving both industry & academia in India as well as abroad. The renowned organizations like wipro, Infosys, Nihilent corp., Geometric softwares, etc. have recruited our students through campus interviews. The Dept. has signed an MOU with WIPRO & INFOSYS as a step of mutual benefit.

 

Post Graduate Programme :
M. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) Duration: 2 years Intake: 18

Department of Computer Science and Engineering has started this PG Program in the year 2011. In the current scenario of various computing devices, the importance of efficient computing with resource optimization is becoming more and more relevant. The need for advancements in architecture and integrating computer hardware, software, algorithms, data management, simulation etc is being increasingly felt. It is in this context this program assumes relevance.

The curriculum is aimed to give theoretical and hands on in the areas of Advances in Algorithms, Advances in DBMS, Parallel Computer Systems Performance Analysis, and Advances in Computer Networks in the first two semesters and a host of elective subjects like Ad-hoc Networks, Soft Computing, Wireless Sensor Networks, Computer Vision & Virtual Reality, Bio-informatics etc. Students have opportunity to work in advanced areas like Nature inspired algorithms in Scheduling & Optimization, Ad-hoc Network, Advanced Database Management Systems, Data mining & Artificial Intelligence as the department has identified these some research areas.

The students will get an opportunity to participate in projects related to, but not limited to Natural Language processing, Data Mining and Business Intelligence, Image processing, Scheduling & Optimization, High performance computing.
